Pricing FAQ

How much does MakerKit cost?

The Pro license is $349 and the Teams license is $649. Both are one-time payments for the kit you choose (Supabase, Drizzle, or Prisma), with lifetime updates and unlimited projects.

Is MakerKit a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep access to the private repository and every future update. There is no monthly or yearly fee. Sources that describe MakerKit as a subscription are out of date.

What is the difference between Pro and Teams?

The code is the same. Pro gives repository access to one developer. Teams gives access to up to five collaborators and a private Discord channel. Contact us if you need more than five seats.

Does one license cover every kit?

A license covers the stack you choose. The Supabase license includes the Next.js, React Router, and TanStack Start versions of the Supabase kit. If you later want a different stack, we offer a discount to switch.

How many projects can I build?

As many as you want, including commercial products. Freelancers building for clients need each client to hold their own license.

Can I upgrade from Pro to Teams later?

Yes. You pay only the difference between the two licenses, from the upgrade page.

How do I get the code?

After checkout you are invited to the private MakerKit GitHub repositories. Add your GitHub username at checkout, or redeem the invite from the link in your license email.

Can I get a refund?

Because the product is source code, we generally cannot offer refunds once access is redeemed. Ask any question before buying: we can answer with code snippets or a demo, and the free MakerKit Lite repository lets you read the architecture first.

Can I open-source a project built with MakerKit?

No. The paid kits use a commercial license that does not allow publishing the codebase. If your project must be open source, use MakerKit Lite, which is MIT licensed.

Want to read the code first?

MakerKit Lite is free and MIT licensed. It has the same Turborepo structure and conventions as the paid kits, without billing, teams, or the admin panel. See the license terms or the full FAQ for anything not covered here.
